Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain attends Salam Kissan Day celebrations as Chief Guest

The Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, participated in the Salam Kissan Day celebrations as the Chief Guest. In his address, he acknowledged the vital role of farmers, stating, “Farmers are the backbone of our economy, ensuring food security, supporting livelihoods, and driving national prosperity.”

On behalf of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Minister extended heartfelt appreciation to the farmers for their dedication and immense contributions to the country. “Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recognizes the critical role of farmers in building a sustainable and prosperous Pakistan,” Rana Tanveer Hussain said.

The Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing farmers’ challenges by providing resources, modern tools, and better access to markets to enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability. He highlighted the importance of adopting advanced agricultural technologies to improve crop quality and address environmental challenges such as climate change.

Calling for collective efforts, Rana Tanveer Hussain stressed the need for collaboration between the government, private sector, and farmers to create a resilient agricultural ecosystem. “It is only through mutual cooperation that we can ensure the well-being and growth of our farmers,” he added.

The Minister concluded by reiterating the government’s resolve to prioritize the welfare of farmers, adding that their unwavering dedication remains a cornerstone of Pakistan’s economy and development.
